Basel | Switzerland

You may or may not know that I was born in Basel, Switzerland. Last week I went back for a visit with my mother. We walked all around town stopping for coffee, Swiss bakery treats and yummy Bratwurst for lunch. We took a boat ride across the river to the opposite side of town where there are some beautiful buildings and quaint riverside walks with the most picturesque drinking fountains. It was unbelievably hot which is surprising for most but I always remember the Summers as a child being hot like that. My mum showed me where she went to school and where she used to live and I thought what a nice place to grow up. We then went to visit my Grandfather whom I haven’t seen since I was probably twelve years old which was just wonderful. Later that day we took a tram up to the border about 40mins from town for a ninetieth Birthday dinner. What a view!
