Spring Makeup Routine
Hello, lovely reader are you ready to spruce up your makeup bag for Spring?! A change of season is a great way to switch up your daily makeup routine. Perhaps you would like to experiment with colour ( eye shadow, lipstick, blush ) or maybe you just want a fresher, lighter version of what you already wear. Take your favourite full coverage foundation, for example, try applying it with a damp beauty blender for a light-weight finish or mixing it with a serum or illuminator for a glowy finish.
Estee Lauder Double Wear has long since been a staple in my foundation collection and especially during the warmer months. It requires no touch up throughout the day and will take your right through the night if you are hardcore like that. To avoid looking too overdone spritz your face with a hydrating setting spray like Pixi Fixing Mist to give skin a dewy finish that will also prolong your makeup.
Keep eyes simple by using a single shade blended well all over the lid. This creates a soft diffused hue of colour. Add eyeliner close to the lash line for extra definition, this will also make the appearance of lashes look much thicker. I love the bareMinerals One Fine Line Micro Precision Liner, it’s ultra thin pencil allows you to get right in between lashes.
Now’s the time to go bright on your lips. I love peachy shades as it’s a step up from my usual nudes. Nikki’s Nude by MAC is my go-to for Spring. A peachy/pink that brightens up any complexion. This was a limited edition lipstick but you may still be able to find it on Amazon or Ebay.
Remember you don’t necessarily have to purchase a whole new bunch of makeup to update your look for Spring, try shopping your stash, see what you haven’t used in a while providing it’s still in date. Create a makeup rotation so you get the most use out of what you have.
