Oh I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside!
Taking a drive down to Brighton is always a good idea! I love breathing in the fresh sea air, eating fish and chips whilst walking along the promenade. It’s a change of scenery and sometimes that is much needed. I now understand what the Victorians meant by ‘taking some air’. I feel somewhat revived. I quite like Brighton in Winter when all the tourists have left. I welcome the choppy waves, the desolate beaches and what seems like an abandoned Pier. I always buy a bag of piping hot, freshly made doughnuts that have been dipped in sugar and cinnamon.
These are days for the soul, the joy of being. We must have more of such days.
