How To Switch Up Your Makeup For Autumn/Fall
Hello lovely readers. I’m here to help you make some small changes to your makeup bag this Autumn. Switching up your seasonal makeup doesn’t have to be an entire makeover haul, just a few key shade changes is enough to transition into a new season. For example if you favour a nude lip like me, you can opt for a deeper tone of nude such as NYX Liquid Suede in Soft Spoken or bareMinerals BarePro in Spice. Stay within current tones just intensify the depth. Lip stains and balms are a good option too and require less maintenance throughout the day.
I apply this approach with eyeshadows too. I switch from my much loved light, neutral tones to richer, earthy tones which include brick red, cranberry and coppers. You might like deeper greens or purples. If you are not comfortable with darker shades or you could try using them as an eyeliner softly smudged at the lash line. My go-to Autumn palette is Urban Decay Naked Heat. It’s the epitome of Autumn, whose shades bring to mind golden leaves, pumpkin spice lattes, smoky red embers and crushed berry mauves.
Remember makeup is all about experimenting and having fun so enjoy it. Have a rummage through your makeup bag now and see what you’ve got to work with. Perhaps you are due a new lippie?
