Festive Party Makeup Part 1 – The Red Lip

Hello festive friends! It’s the season to be jolly and of course all those Xmas parties rapidly approaching. This is the best time of year for makeup because you can just enjoy all the sparkle! This is my red lip makeup look for the holidays which I like to keep fresh and modern by keeping the eyes bright and light. If you go too heavy on the eyes it can look dated and overdone. Party makeup doesn’t have to be difficult or timely to apply. It’s all about balance. I love to pair a red lip with white because it keeps the look fresh and clean. The star of the show is the red lip so keeping everything else simple, hair, clothing etc makes sure you are not overpowered by everything else and allows for your true beauty to shine through. Choosing which red to go for is also important, I’ve opted for a cool toned cherry red which helps brighten the complexion and again keeps the look contemporary.
