Everyday Makeup Routine
Hello lovelies, since I have managed to develop a makeup routine, I thought it best to share it. I have narrowed down my daily face into my most loved/used products. This is the most organised I have been in a long time! I keep everything I’m using in my Charlotte Tilbury lips bag for quick and easy access, otherwise it would literally taking my hours to get ready! Here goes
For my face I’ve been obsessed with mixing my Josie Maran Argan Illuminizer with the Rachel K CC Renew in Medium, this just creates the most beautiful inner glow, smooths and primes the skin. I am so pale that the only foundation that matches is my Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme in Buff – review & demo which is perfect because I’m inlove with this foundation and Becca in general.
For dark circles I have gone back to using/finishing off, MAC Prolong Wear concealer in NW20, this also doubles as an eyelid primer so perfect when you are limited for time. It’s creamy, full coverage and best of all does no crease! I have been setting it with Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder #2 applied with a damp beauty blender which will ensure crease proof undereyes all day long! Try it, you’ll be amazed!
I set my entire face with Laura Mercier Mineral Powder in rich vanilla, as the Becca foundation has a matte finish I find this just complements it beautifully, imparting a subtle, warm glow to the skin that just looks airbrushed. There is something truly magical about this mineral powder, it locks your makeup in place and makes even the heaviest of foundations look natural. At the moment my bronzers are far too dark for my paleness so instead I’ve been using MAC Studio Fix Powder in C4 which is perfect to warm up the skin without looking muddy or really unnatural.
For cheeks I love to use Benefit Dallas blush on my cheekbones, tip of my nose and chin. This mauve shade gives skin a natural flush. I like to pair this with a bright peach/pink blush on the apples of my cheeks. Becca’s Mineral Blush in Flowerchild is a peachy, velvet smooth delight to apply, it melts seamlessly into skin imparting a sheer glow. It’s amazing! For highlight I can’t stop reaching for Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Opal and once you try it you will see why.
I have been making use of my eyeshadow pallets recently as I normally don’t use much on my eyes. I love the Urban Decay Naked Palette for it’s warm, easy to blend shades. My fail safe look is ,Naked, Buck, Sin and Virgin. I like a light eye with a bit of definition and some liner. The Pixi Silky Gel liners are budge proof pencils that look and feel like gel. I always curl my lashes, I think that makes a huge difference and really wakes up the eye. I’m on the market for a new mascara so I’m currently using up my Bareminerals Flawless Definition which I’ve had many times before. It’s great for everyday natural looking lashes.
Ok I have been totally attached to this lip combo, Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Pencil in Eastend Snob ( total dupe for Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk) topped with MAC Creamsheen in Cremecup. Divine! Watch my video below to see how I apply everything along with some random rambling
