Current Everyday Makeup Routine

Hello lovely reader, happy Monday! Make yourself a cup of coffee and lets start the week off right and do some makeup! This is my current, everyday makeup routine using some of my tried and tested favourites! I find comfort in my makeup application ritual, it’s part of my daily routine. It makes me feel good and more like myself. Forget saving your products for best or a special occasion, just use it and enjoy it regardless.

I always prep my skin with and SPF 50 daily, even on a cloudy day. I have a predilection for Heliocare Advance Gel. It sinks into skin beautifully and almost acts as a primer to my foundation. It’s the best I’ve used, doesn’t feel like a sunscreen at all.

My current foundation of choice is my trusty bareMinerals BarePro Performance Wear SPF 20. This is perfect for warmer months as it’s matte and long-lasting. I wear the shade Warm Natural 12. I’ve been enjoying applying this with a stippling brush for a really natural finish. I tried out that TIK TOK concealer trend and I’m quite impressed by the results. I use a mix of two concealers: Tarte Shape Tape and L’Oreal Infalliable More Than Concealer. I then set with a bit of a throw back, Kat Von D Shade and Light Palette. KVD seems to have had a rebirth and is now available in Boots. I think her powders are amazing and super smoothing. To set my whole face I used Laura Mercier Translucent powder.

For bronzer I use a two. Benefit Hoola for more of a contour and Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer to warm up the skin and give that sunkissed look. Then for blush I used another classic, Nars Orgasm. This gives a peachy glow to skin that is unbeatable.

I like to keep my eye look fairly simple and for that I alway reach for Urban Decay Ultimate Naked Basics which is unfortunately discontinued but you can still get the small Naked Basics palettes.

For my lips I am loving the Victoria Beckham Beauty Lip Pencil in the shade 02 which is a neutral shade that creates a natural shadow. My lipstick is a new favourite from the drugstore, Max Factor Color Elixer in the shade Toasted Almond, a warm nude. These are so moisturising and long-lasting, excellent colour payoff and super comfortable on the lips.
