Coffee Is My Hobby

One of my favourite things to do on the weekends is finding new places to have coffee and living in the countryside there are a plethora of hidden gems to be found. I was out walking my dog the other day and I got chatting with another walker who mentioned The Craft Brews Brewery and Tap Room in Frensham, I had never heard of this place before but duly took note. Nestled deep in the heart of the Surrey countryside this award winning microbrewery with taproom & terrace handcrafts beer using locally sourced ingredients. You can even go for a pizza! They have a wonderful array of coffee and cake too!

And so is the magic of speaking to people as I often do on my walks because there is always something new to learn or discover. Some of the best places I’ve been to have been by word of mouth. This is my idea of pure joy, going for a cup of coffee and even more so with somebody to have a good old natter with. I am a Libra, and I love to be surrounded by beauty particularly nature but anywhere aesthetically pleasing, a quaint village café or swanky rooftop bar is where you will find me. The way a place makes me feel is very important. I have walked into places before and walked straight back out again because I didn’t like the vibe. Don’t get me wrong I do also enjoy a Starbucks, particularly a soy milk Caramel Macchiato or a soy milk iced latte, but then again my Starbucks is delightful, set upon cobbled streets in beautiful surroundings that remind me of somewhere else. The Costa however is not so nice.

My coffee of choice is most often an oat milk cappuccino always with chocolate on top! I am baffled by those who forgo the chocolate. Cups are very important to me too, I love a big deep beautiful cup that I can hold with both hands or a crisp, clean glass for a latte.

In the Summer I love an iced latte! My favourite as mentioned before is a Starbucks Soy Iced Latte but most recently I had an Oat Milk Iced Latte from Juice Smith and it was glorious! Smooth and oh so creamy. My mum and I love to get a coffee and just sit and people watch.
