Hygge Morning Rituals

Nothing exemplifies Hygge to me more than a cosy cafe with a cup of coffee or in this case hot chocolate in hand. I crave all the cosy feels in life. Surrey is home to some of the most wonderful coffee shops and Nest in Ripley Village is among one of the finest and host to a celebrity or two! Not only does it boast excellent coffee and an array of sweet and savoury treats it is also a gift shop where you can buy a variety of unique items for your home. There is something quite special about independently owned businesses, I for one think it’s really important to show support within the community. There are chain upon chains of coffee establishments but nothing compares to that personal touch you get from a one of a kind cafe.

People seem to be in such a rush to get from A to B, is it’s any wonder they even taste let alone enjoy their beverage. I rather savour the moment and enjoy every last sip whilst taking comfort in my surroundings. I’m not talking about your morning commute, I get it you haven’t got the time but surely at some point in the day you get a break. If like me you work from home it can be all too easy not to leave the house at all so making the effort to go out have a wonder and a ponder if you will makes for a nice change of scenery and breaks up the day a bit.

So if you are in need of a little TLC I highly suggest sourcing out your local coffee shop and take a pew. Order your favourite drink and a piece of cake, go on you deserve a treat!
