Spring Skincare

We have talked about updating our makeup bags for Spring but what about our skincare? As seasons change so does our skin’s needs. I’m all about exfoliation,revealing fresh, glowing skin. Using a gentle glycolic like Alpha H Liquid Gold. This multi-action formula of silk protein and licorice revitalizes and firms skin in a single application. You can use it every other night after cleansing before you serum or moisturiser. This leaves skin smooth and clear an instant overnight result which I love. As always I cleanse with Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser as this removes all of my makeup in one go. I use a toner which prepares for the next step of my beauty regime. Pixi glow Tonic contains Aloe Vera and Ginseng which help to soothe and brighten skin. Next up is serum which penetrates deep into the skin’s epidermis making your moisturiser absorb well and work much faster in repairing damage and hydrating the skin. I use Maple Holistics Vitamin C serum at night and No7 Perfect and Protect in the morning as it sits better under my makeup. I like to masque once a week to give my skin a deep clean. I just recently picked up Dermalogica Charcoal Rescue Masque, Activated Binchotan Charcoal powerfully absorbs impurities while Sulfur promotes cell turnover for brighter skin. Volcanic Ash, Sea Silt, Bamboo Extract and alpha hydroxy acids provide a dual-action exfoliation. I have seen amazing results in just one use of this product. It leaves my skin super smooth, clear and bright with no irritation or redness. I always apply and eye cream during the day and my favourite is Liz Earl Daily Eye Repair which has an SPF 10 for further protection. I not a huge fan of night creams but I have been trying out a sample of Eucerin Volume-Filler and I have to say I’m am impressed! This smells lovely and you only need the smallest amount and it just melts into the skin leaving it silky smooth. When I think of a night cream I think thick and gloopy but this is far from. It’s light and easily absorbs into my skin with little massaging required. For oily skins this is a must! I have definitely noticed a difference in how my skin looks in the morning. I will be purchasing the full size when it runs out.
