Glo-Minerals Pressed Base
Being the die hard mineral makeup fan that I am, I thought it only fair to try out an alternative brand to my beloved bareMinerals after being informed by my aesthetician that it was mainstream and that there were better products for my skin available. I was intrigued. She proceeded to introduce me to Glo-Minerals a mineral makeup brand that was specifically designed by dermatologists and highly recommended by health practitioners as it’s super gentle on sensitive skin and can be used post procedure treated skin too.
Description
“The best selling glo-minerals Pressed Base is a mineral powder foundation that covers and corrects to keep skin radiant and healthy. Designed for all skin concerns, this is an ideal foundation for rosacea sufferers, acne and sensitive skin. The non-comedogenic formulation is talc-free, paraben-free and packed with antioxidants and broad-spectrum UV protection to give you not just flawless skin but protected skin too. It’s the best mineral foundation you could ask for.” glo-minerals.com
At first swatch, I was skeptical about the coverage but once I took it home and tried it with my Real Techniques buffing brush I was pleasantly surprised. This looks like skin but better, the texture is smooth and velvety. It buffs into skin effortlessly with a semi-matte finish that looks soft and creamy. It’s quick and easy to apply and you don’t have to spend hours on end buffing to get your desired coverage.
I’m wearing the shade Honey Medium, which has a golden undertone. I prefer a yellow based foundation as I feel it counteracts the redness in my skin exceptionally well. This is fast becoming a favourite of mine as I appreciate the ease of application and fuss free packaging. If you are new to mineral makeup or haven’t got on with it in the past, I highly recommend giving Glo-Minerals a go.
