EVERYDAY GLAM

You know when you have one of those good makeup days, well this was one of those days! I wasn’t particularly going anywhere so thought I would experiment with a different look. Inspired by the colour of my jumper which I’m obsessed with I combined soft pinks and mauves to create what is possibly one of my most favourtie looks that works perfectly both day and night. I’ve been testing out the new BarePro Performance Wear Foundation by bareMinerals with various application methods and I decided to give the brush that came with it another go. If you have watched my first impressions of this foundation on YouTube you will know I didn’t care for how the brush applied the foundation. I believe there is a technique with this brush you have to use it almost like a paintbrush, swiping downwards. First I primed my skin with bareMinerals Prime Time primer, which really smooths out the surface of your skin allowing foundation to glide on effortlessly. I then started by applying two pumps onto the brush and ‘painting’ one side of my face and then repeating the process on the other side. The result was a super flawless finish. To set I buffed on my bareMinerals Original SPF 15 foundation which gives it a more natural look but also ensures your makeup lasts longer. On my eyes, I shopped my stash and pulled out a now discontinued much-loved eyeshadow duo from Nars called Dolomites. This is a gorgeous mauve combo that I tend to gravitate towards during the Fall.

I used the lighter shade in the crease and the soft matte mauve shade on the eyelid to create a soft smokey vibe. I have been asked often about this lip colour and it’s one of my go-to combos. I line my lips with Rimmel Exaggerate lipliner in Eastend Snob and apply MAC lipstick in Creme Cup topped off with NYX Butter Gloss in Eclair. This is the perfect cool toned pink lip that compliments just about any look.

Put on a pair of hoops and you are ready to party or do your errands whatever takes your fancy! I had an impromptu dinner that evening so I was especially happy with myself.
